The Ka'a'awa Beach Clean-up was a great success. We raised $420.00 toward applying for our 501c3 tax exempt application. The beach sparkled as well as thre people. We realy made a positive impact on the citizens of ka'a'awa. The first community beach clean-up ever organized in Ka'a'awa. Great big thank you to the Kalaka'ala family for your support. The event wouldn't have been such a success withoutt their un-waivering assistance. Mahalo to

Beach Clean-up in Ka'a'awa
The date has been set for Clean and Green Campaign's first (of many) community beach clean-ups. Our first location is Ka'a'awa Beach Park on the North west side of Oahu. We have been working dilegently, trying to raise awareness and educate Hawaii's citizens on the problems were facing concerning polutants entering our oceans. CGCH's Chairmen of the Board, Jerad Kamaka'ala said after setting out for a day of surfing off the coast in Ka'a'awa. Once reaching the breakers found himself surrounded by tiny bits and pieces of plastic. Plastic bags and cigerette butts liter the beaches and its time to make a change. We are recieving great support from the community, even the armed forces. The volunteer coordinater for the U.S Navy contacted me interested in our cause and offering the Navy's support. I mean the NAVY!
